We requested a cross country door-to-door delivery to Valiant Movers. The cost was around $3,000 dollars. You are paying for any, and I repeat, ANY method or steps the items undertake during the delivery. For example, if the movers take the elevator down to the garage and walk out of your garage to the car, there will be 2 charges. If the walk from the garage is longer than movers taking the stairs, who cares, let them take the stairs. You can't be civil with these costs. This was an AWFUL experience. The cost ended up being way more. I get that, because I underestimated how much we had, but then we got treated awfully for the mistake even though they charged 2,500 more and had more than enough space. Then when I talked to customer service it was AWFUL! I started explaining how the movers had promised getting it there sooner and now we were delayed and they interrupted and when I responded they started yelling. Never ever do business with these companies, Purple Heart or Valiant Movers. I had several issues, so this will be long, but that is the gist of what the point is. First, Purple Heart is not a moving company. They are what’s called a “broker.” They are simply a third party that goes between you and the movers. They have no real power over the moving company and they have no idea about pricing. Please read the reviews before you use this moving company. I've heard they will pay you hundreds of dollars to remove negative reviews. They showed up on time, but the price increased after they got all my belongings out of the house and onto the sidewalk. They sold my belongings to another moving company. My mattress was folded in half, boxes smashed, and my stuff ruined. The two "gentlemen" who unloaded my truck looked as though they were just released from prison the day before - you know the druggie look...
