Always super nice and patient when I come in.
25 years strong. My wife and I have tried other banks but none have come close to the service we got from Vacationland. I would highly recommend using this bank before trying the big corporate banks. wife died, getting burial check from insurance. nothing but confusion. 9 day holds? it is from New York Life? then babbling about taking it to the bank it was written from? they wont touch it unless i have an account with them, unless that changed? i have tried that before? *** My concern was addressed in a timely manner. Shows they care about their customers. Thank you! I'm not one to post negative experiences, but I feel it's warranted as I have been treated horribly not once, but twice by the same teller. She must really hate her job to have such a bad attitude, and to treat customers so poorly. There were no other customers in the building, and I only asked that she count out my withdrawal. Never had this problem with any other teller.
I attempted to take advantage of a balance transfer offer they had going on, I gave them all of my information, they submitted the application to Visa and I got approved for the amount needed (yay). Unfortunately, while taking my information down for the application, they did not inform me that in order to take advantage of the offer, I would need to open an account with them (which I was fine with) and that in order to open an account with them, I would need to live in Huron, or Erie county - which I do not.
