I scheduled a tour with Madi at Utility Works and arrived on time today with my daughter. When I entered, I greeted the group of people who were sitting together and said I was there to meet with Madi. One person stood up and said, “that’s me,” but offered no greeting, no eye contact, and seemed surprised or inconvenienced by my arrival. Utility Works is a sanctuary for creative folks of all ages. Young entrepreneurs working at the hot desks on the first floor, painters and other artists on the second floor in studios with floor to ceiling windows that provide perfect light for their creative work, and potters, fabric artists and a metal sculptor--me!--in the basement providing camaraderie and supportive ideas for each other. Love this place! It is my sanctuary.
A very nice program they have there in Lansdowne. Many different talents in one building.
