Service has gone way downhill. I used to love riding the frontrunner and Trax to get to shows in Salt Lake. Now, they are always delayed significantly. There have been two times now where the Trax connecting to the frontrunner was 20-25 minutes late, so I missed the last frontrunner and had to get an Uber, thus defeating the point of taking public transportation. The drivers are always late and will take off quickly or slam on their brakes suddenly, throwing people all over the place. Bus drivers frequently drive by bus stops without stopping for the people waiting, and that’s assuming they show up on time or at all. Frequently I’m forced to wait an extra 15 minutes or more for a bus; basically, start out two hours early if you ever want to be on time. Nice driver's on the paratransit buses.
We were in SLC for a couple of days, and the hotel told us about the Trolley system. Pickup spots were nearby, which made it very convenient. It’s free to travel within the downtown area and just a couple of dollars to ride further out. The transportation was easy to use, with clean buses and trolleys, and clear signage. A real asset for an urban city.
Some drivers got one hell of a nasty attitude, all im trying to do is figure out where im going, since I dont go to sleep often!
