I don't recommend working for this particular company.. I was up front and honest with them and it didn't matter to them Open door policy is a lie, they don't go by that.
Expect a week delay if these guys handle your shipment…standard answer is always “check tomorrow” or we gave not received it yet…even though it has been sitting at their depot for over 24 hours. You certainly receive a “special” delivery, just days later than scheduled. Had been multiple times, pay the extra money yo avoid.
They will hire 3rd party truckers to pick up the load and then have zero accountability for it. If you want your deliveries safely and securely delivered use someone else who will actually be delivering the load
By far the worst experience I have ever had in 20 years of dealing with trucking companies. They have been sitting on a shipment at their Hammond terminal for 6 days and can give me no information whatsoever on when or if it will ever be delivered. "Check back tomorrow" is their default answer to everything. There are a lot of trucking companies out there. Use any of them other than US Special. Absolutely pathetic
