Public Service Announcement for Anyone Dealing with Mortgage-Related IRS Issues A client and I visited the Albany, GA IRS office on June 25, 2025, around 11:00 AM, following guidance from the IRS appointment hotline. We were explicitly told that an appointment was not required and that we could walk in to have our documents certified for an urgent real estate closing. Horribly long holds 1hr+, but only 10min was advertised. I called the individuals line directly off the website, and first thing the lady says is I need to call the individuals line..
Very unprofessional, 10/10 would not recommend this facility. . I’ve waited a month for this appointment. Got the notification 2 days in advance on email for a reminder . And apon arrival there office was closed , been closed for the last 2 weeks due to not having ac , didn’t have the courtesy to call or email to inform me of these changes . I called to reschedule an appointment and now get to wait a whole nother month for them to hopefully be there .
