Waited 2 hours on the phone for nothing
I called was put on hold through the callback system for one hour then received my call and after listening to the automated message tell me about my return a loud beep played then there was nothing afterwards whatsoever then they hung up with only a static voice mumbling something unintelligible after 5 minutes of waiting with silence from the other side
Waiting forever Lunch time on a Thursday is 10:30 am until 2 pm.
The irs is an absolute nightmare, you can never talk to a human being. If you contact there call line it's a stupid automated answering machine you think with are tax money they would do better or actually implant an effective answering machine but nope it's a cheap one. That will continuously ask you the same question. And it will never transfer you to an actual person. Don't worry the actual irs wensote is the same when clicking chat it doesnt work.
