Located in the Federal Courthouse, downtown Youngstown. Parking can be a little bit of a challenge due to what seems like constant construction downtown, but there are several lots nearby and I was lucky enough to find a free spot on the street right next to the courthouse. You will have to go through a metal detector and security, so be prepared for that. They only see people based on appointments, so make sure you call the IRS appointment number to schedule. Calling the 800 number is useless I reached them on an 844 number. Had to call them because I submitted a tax form when applying for a mortgage and they rejected it saying my name and social didn't match when I called them they said it did match then the bank said well there's nothing we can do then I called them to ask for documents so I could produce it to the bank they said they cannot do that then I called back to make an appointment to go in person and they told me they couldn't verify me because guess what now they're ... read more
Don't waste your time calling the number they will never ever pick up the phone. 800 number nobody ever will pick up that phone it's just the voice prompts that get you nowhere. So I decided to go in person wish I knew what time they opened they don't even list their hours..
Abolish the IRS. Worthless, every single one is absolutely worthless. Biggest waste of government dollars in the history of the United States.
