I’m writing a post to warn potential buyers of condos built by HUD in the City of Boston and surrounding areas for low income families. Don’t believe the hype about buying low and being able to sell high in 20 yrs if you live in the property. They build and then leave the property to be managed by homeowners who have no experience in management. I have really had it with these housing authorities. They cannot provide my asthmatic son with a drug and smoke free unit. I just moved from one bad situation to the next. It’s every complex yes but when are we going to start having real conversations about this? I have reached out multiple times to Boston and federal HUD and not one person has called or emailed me back. They didn’t at the last place I was at either.
