Hiring this company to move my furniture from Manhattan to Brooklyn was the biggest mistake I’ve made. They gave me an estimate of $800 after I sent them detailed photos of every item and answered all of their questions. The second they arrived, they claimed they couldn’t find parking and demanded another $100. Any professional mover working in Manhattan should factor that in from the beginning—not force the customer to cover their lack of planning. I agreed out of kindness. That was mistake number one. If you want to pay $1,000 just to have your furniture dumped in the trash by the movers, this is the perfect company for you. They gave me a lowball estimate, then added surprise charges. When they couldn’t fully disassemble my closet (something other movers had done with no problem), they blamed it on the elevator—even though the elevator was plenty spacious—and then left my $2,000 closet in the garbage next to rats. They’re not skillful movers, they’re excuse-makers. Save yourself the nightmare.
