I did not renew my US bank's CD account with a 4.75% interest rate after the 11 months term ended. The US bank automatically renewed my CD for another year but at a much lower interest rate, 0.05%. US Bank also has a 1% early termination penalty on the account balance if I want to close the CD account before the end of the term.
