I’ve been a loyal customer of this spa for few years, frequently visiting with my family for facials, massages, manicures/pedicures, and eyebrow threading. The staff has always been friendly, and the atmosphere is calming and clean, which kept us coming back. Excellent service and always a great retreat from a busy life. The pedicures are wonderful. Manicures beautiful and spending time getting a facial very relaxing. Book a steam prior to facial on a cold day.
The work and attention they put into clients is wonderful. You are met with a warm attitude and a smile and expert levels of professionalism…….accept the front desk. Holly cow , that lady at the front made me feel like I was trash and that shouldn’t be there. I was directly insulted for paying cash so I ran out before even taking my receipt. Maybe she’s just having a bad day?…. I love Urban Retreat and all they do, but I’ll be taking a break for a while until they find someone new. Yikes
This 5 star review is specifically for Gierica, one of the massage therapists at Urban Retreat. She is so kind, and gives a thorough massage based on your needs and preferences. I always leave feeling cared for. As an RMT, she is definitely 5 star-worthy. I've only had one other service at Urban Retreat, and based on that and the reception, I'd give the business an overall rating of a 4. I very much appreciate the ease of booking massages online as well.
I received a spa package from my husband for Christmas and was able to use it today. I solo parent close to 85% of the time and don't get a lot if any "me" time so when I say this was needed it was very needed. The spa opened up early so I could fit in all the treatments (steam shower, full body wrap/treatment, facial and spa manicure - oh yah and I got lunch too!)
