I recently purchased/ordered an item at Urban Barn in Nanaimo. Like a few other customers I felt that the sales staff were a bit cool and not very helpful. When my quite heavy item arrived at the store and I went to pick it up, they told me they had no dolly and did not offer to help me carry the heavy and awkward box to my car. Not even help opening the door. Such a stark contrast to ScanDesigns where they are so helpful and accommodating. I won’t be buying anything more from UB.
This is one of my favorite stores. It’s like a warm hug with all the colors, textures, smells. It always gives me the warm fuzzies. No matter what the season. The staff are helpful and friendly. I feel they go the extra mile. All the Urban Barns I’ve been into are such beautiful stores. I have just moved to Nanaimo and we have renovated. So I will be doing some more shopping soon here.
I went into Urban Barn and made the sales associate aware that we had just moved into town and have zero furniture. She advised me that all their pieces do come from Vancouver and would take a week to be delivered. I thought this was a good time frame to wait. I went ahead and ordered more than a few pieces and waited happily the following week to receive my pieces.
