Rented out the entire place for a small family gathering. Hosts were tough to deal with during booking and very short and unpleasant to communicate with. Would not give us details like what cooking items we had to work with. Charged us a $200 late fee when we paid our second installment on the day it was due but not at 1pm. Mind you this was before arrival. They live on the premises which was not advertised. Freezer was not clear of their items which made things tough for us. My granddaughter was brought to visit me for the new year. I live in Dixon and went to see her at the rental unit and I was immediately approached by the owner and he was rude, said the guests could not have visitors. There were no other renters in the other units and we just wanted to visit with her on the “beach” that is advertised. I would not recommend this place as it is “watched” to the point that it was uncomfortable. How can you rent a place and not be allowed to have visitors, especially at a place that is run down ... read more

Sam and Meda are awesome! They are wonderful hosts and their Unu Center is very welcoming and is right on the Rio Grande River and a long way from the highway- it’s a sanctuary with lovely nature all around. Treat yourself to slowing down and recharging by the river, where you can hear your intuition speak! Love their place

I had an unbelievably healing experience at UnU Center! Really nice place, I especially loved sitting by the river each morning and evening, admiring the wilderness across the Rio Grande (it makes you feel like you're at a national park or such!). What a diversity of wild life: birds, beavers, river otters... I also had a really nice hypnotherapy session with Sam. If you’re looking for a serene spot that’s close to Taos and some good hiking, this is it!

We stayed in beach hut. I found it odd that they up charge for a 2nd person. What was most troubling was staying in a place without any known smoke alarms or fire extinguishers in what appeared to be a very DIY build (despite the listing saying it had these). That's inexcusable to me, safety first.
