We took our 11-month old Rat Terrier here for his heart condition. Everyone on the cardiology care team was great. We especially loved their high level of communication during the three days our pup was there. Definitely consider this hospital for any of your pets special care needs, especially if it's a heart condition.
My dog needed surgery. I called in, and despite having medical records from literally less than 12 hours ago, they insist on charging $175 to have their doctor do the same damn tests and exams that were literally just done. Then, they can't get my poor dog in for surgery until January, which is more than enough time for it to heal on its own. Meanwhile, my poor dog is suffering. They may teach people how to be vets, but there is very little compassion here. Very disappointing.
I needed to cancel an appointment so I dialed the number provided to me by the referring vet, followed the prompts, and ended up at a woman's voicemail. I don't recall the name of the person but they failed to return my first 2 calls so I called a 3rd time but didnt bother leaving message this time around. If I could rate a zero, I would. My dogs got out and a lady took them from the very street they live on. After seeing her Facebook post I contacted her immediately and showed proof of ownership. She then blocked me. It was only after I got Champaign Police Dept. Involved that she unblocked me and said she surrendered them to U of I vet med an hour after she found out they were my dogs.
