If you want a University that cares about you as a person and your individual success, don't attend Akron. Important communications are sent by email instead of in-person meetings and very few administrators are capable of showing empathy. Advising is done in a giant group with generic information and individual consultations are discouraged because the advisors are always overwhelmed (because the schedule doesn't get released until about 2 weeks before registration).
