I went into Unity Bank yesterday to open a savings account. During the process, I was informed that I had an open account at another institution that was in the negative, and I wouldn't be able to open an account until that issue was resolved. Easy peasy. I resolved the issue and went back in today and was told, per their policy, they wouldn't open an account for me for a year. I guess my money isn't good enough for them. Not really good service and the offer nothing. I guess that's what you get in a small town.
I’m extremely dissatisfied with Unity Bank in Augusta, WI with their “dormant account fee.” I love going home to my parents house to a pile of mail from Unity Bank with several service charges. When I take the money out for my class reunion in a couple months I will not be returning to this bank. My question would be why doesn’t the interest being deposited count as a deposit?!!!! No, apparently every two years I need to be making a deposit as little at 1 cent to keep a BANK account active. What a terrible community bank for... read more
They like to have you as a customer but they don't want to give you a loan very often.
