I know little to nothing about lawn care but did some research to try and overhaul our crabgrass-filled, patchy lawn. After dethatching in this fall we bought United's Super Turf tall fescue mix. We used it to overseed the lawn and then seed more heavily in the patchy areas. Topped the patchy spots off with straw tack and kept the whole lawn watered and constantly moist for a week. Wow!! This seed is amazing. This is the 5 Iron perennial rye. Seeded September 5th. This is present day (September 17). So happy with this purchase will be buying all my seed from these guys from now on.
