Simplistic and overbearing fraud prevention makes using UMB for business purposes nearly impossible. We have to transfer money out of our account into PayPal just to make most of our bills because UMB throws a fit when you try to use your card for anything out of state. UMB will continue to be a difficult option for the modern business owner until they invest in more intelligent fraud prevention or offer the option to dial it back.

I was denied opening an account at the Melrose Branch because I did not reside within the 50 mile radius; however, as explained and documented I opened a business in the area…….. I’ve never experienced that type of treatment ANYWHERE………. Also, as explained, the area is my permanent residence………VERY DISAPPOINTED…….

Great atmosphere and professional tellers. Also, Mrs. Chandler of the Vidalia branch is an awesome asset to UMB.
