I opened an account with this bank only 3 or 4 months ago. They considered what I was doing with MY money was fraud. Wouldn't even listen to me. Now they won't even give me a debit card. Do you know how impossible it is to do anything without one? I have to go inside the bank and withdraw all the money that was direct deposited in order to pay my bills. I have had a love/hate with this bank over the years. Most of the time I love them but they closed the branch closest to me due to road construction and have made no effort to reopen a branch in McDonough. I need a new debit card to replace my damaged one. Other than physically going to the branch in Stockbridge, there is no way to get one. You have to call but the head office says it takes 10 business days so if you want something different go to the local branch. My wife and I have had Suntrust/Truist accounts for years. We also had accounts at what was once Heritage. then The First. We became disillusioned with all changes with mergers. We began shopping, tried a credit union, another bank. Walked into this branch and were warmly greeted by Doyle Gilmer who sold us on United Community Bank without a hard "sell". Professional, polite, responsive to our questions. We now have multiple accounts there mostly due to Doyle. Hats off Doyle. hats off United for employing people like Doyle.
