I highly recommend United Auto Rental when visiting San Diego! They were extremely helpful from the moment we contacted them at the airport upon our arrival. We phoned Alex, and he did an excellent job of directing us to the rental car facility shuttle. The shuttle dropped us off, and we walked a short distance to an area where users of other rental car agencies are picked up. The car was a bit worn but worked fine. The staff was super friendly and were very professional. The price quoted online was actually a little higher than when I got the car, a nice surprise! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a nice deal!
They were great. They picked us up. The car was clean and they were easy to work with.
United came through with the requisite convertible when Fox fell through. It's a tiny place you'd never find in San Diego, but I'd look for them next time. More expensive than Fox, less than the big names, but be prepared to wait.
