I was sent there for substance abuse. This place treats you like criminals and slaves. People Come here for help not torture. Nothing is professionally handled. I was to get out.
This is an amazing facility. My club has donated and did Christmas toy drive as well as feedings for the last two years and I have not had any issues. I would recommend this facility to those in need or seeking help. Not only is the staff great and helpful but the residents there are nothing less them terrific. We enjoyed being a part of making memories with the residents and staff.......
When I stayed there in 1998, I didn't know my abusive sister was calling and talking to pat. She acted as if everything my sister said was gospel. The person who is supposed to help you heal from abuse, sides with your abuser. Pat and my sister, two horrible women.
Do not donate here the stuff doesnt go to those in need it goes to Dorcas' thrift stores! And the lovely "staff"/ "volunteers" that were mentioned in previous comments that came right out ti get your donations are the needy that are being housed there have been brain washed and stollen from that get punished for not pitely rishing out there quickly enough. If food is donated they dont get to eat it especially if it is sweets or sodas. Not even for the holidays.
Was in addiction program in 2014. Abusive and fearful atmosphere. The director at the time was named dorcas, ironically. She would beat children with wooden spoons while mothers were forced to wait outside her office and listen to their screams. These were women who came to be in a safe space and she took complete advantage of their vulnerability. Sadistic monster!
