I was the first Terminal Manager when it opened in August, 1969. Bob Wynn and I pretty much ran the whole place while it was being finished. Once opened, all of the Seattle Pier 88 operations were transferred to this Kent location and the Pier 88 ceased. The terminal consisted of approximately 28 drivers, 10 yardmen, 12 in the office and 5 mechanics.
