I paid my taxes on Dec 30 2025. I checked with my bank and they paid them on Dec 39,2925. That’s the date of the check. Because the mail is all screwed up in Union county the Tax office said they didn’t receive the check till Jan 8th so I was assessed a penalty for being late by three days Tried to tell the clerk and she was just rude. If the envelope doesn’t have a postmark on it to prove it was sent you are assessed a late fee. Didn’t matter that the Bank sends the check. Motor Vehicle Review- I recently purchased a new car & the dealership was supposed to transfer my existing tag to the new vehicle but did not. I was told by the dmv to turn the old tag in & take my receipt to my local tax office to request a credit/refund since I still had several months before the old tag needed renewed. I called to ask about a notuce of escheatment. I talked to customer service. Without properly ifentifying me she gave me information about the notice. No PII protections. I then made complaint of how the county should give more notices. She gave me a long speech about how its not required and then said they did send notice and looked up when they were sent and would NOT let me speak. She was Mrs Crockett saying " Maam you said this.
