If I could give this bank less than 1 I would. I am from out of town. I called to set up an estate account for deceased account holder, and I am the administrator of the estate. I gave them the individuals that was deceased name and my name. They told me I had to come in in person and do that. I flew into Santa Maria and went to the bank on Friday. Never have a problem at the SM branch and have been a customer for more years than I can count (since the demise of Bank of Santa Maria). But they recently bounced a large check to a local vendor because they thought the signature might be different. We weren't notified in any way. No, they cleared the check, then reversed it. The VENDOR'S bank, of course, let them know I bounced a check. Humiliating and the first in 50 years. I have to pay the $25 returned check fee AND a $15 cashier's check fee. You can’t deposit money in your own account without an ID even if you have the account number your social and can be verified by providing your information. They must see your photo ID for any deposits. 15 years as a customer I think I need a new bank
