Poor customer service. They arent consistent with their policies, making it very difficult to know what is right and wrong. Extremely poorly managed.
I have been a customer of UMB Bank for over ten years, and I am writing to share ongoing issues I have experienced with my account. Transactions are often posted several days after the original purchase date and then processed at once when the available balance is low, which has resulted in multiple $36 overdraft fees. This bank location was super nice and rather large compared to most other umb banks I have been to. The staff was friendly and got me in and out super quick.
WITHOUT QUESTION, UMB is the WORST BANK I have ever used. My friend and I had thousands of dollars in an IRA account as well as checking and savings accounts at UMB. When she got sick, UMB did everything possible to impede her withdrawal of the money needed to pay for her medical treatment. After months of resistance, we finally found an associate who helped us.
