I dropped off my PS5 for overheating issues. I’ve cleaned it multiple times myself with no luck. I led with this and they charged me a ridiculous $100 diagnostic fee and told me I’d be called within 24–48 hours after dropping it off. Instead, I was ghosted for a week. When I called to check on the status, I was told the “last test” they ran was playing Arc Raiders on my brother’s PS5 account and “checking for debris.” I checked in again a couple days later and was told the same thing. Two Xbox elite series 2 controllers took 56 business days/89 days from drop off to pick up to get repaired. When I dropped them off, I was originally told 2-4 weeks. Had to chase the store for updates throughout the whole process. All in, I paid about $2 less than what it would’ve cost to just buy 2 brand new controllers… Picked them up with 1 having a small metal pad stuck under the D-pad. Had to use tweezers to pull it out, which flaked metal shavings everywhere.
