The good news: my laptop is now fixed and working perfectly. The bad news: the process took much longer than expected and was very inconvenient. I had a broken screen that needed replacing, and when I brought it in, I was told it would take 3 to 5 days. Since this was my work laptop, I was using a temporary one that I could keep for 2 weeks.
