I needed to add furniture to my storage unit that I have with them and I had to rent a U-Haul truck from them. I literally drove the truck less than 10 miles round trip! Should have a complimentary truck for existing customers.
I reserved a Uhaul at this location with confirmation number and receipt. When arriving for pickup, I was told my reserved truck was over an hour away in Walterboro. After waiting on hold on the phone with Uhaul, the only option was to drive over an hour out of the way. Very disappointed with the Uhaul locations, the online booking system, and support. Will not use again.
WARNING - DO NOT RENT FROM U-HAUL! While the local providers are independent and can't be blamed for the corporate system, the online rental process is broken. I rented a truck through the U-Haul website and received a reservation confirmation number. When I arrived at the designated pick up spot NO TRUCK WAS AVAILABLE. Fortunately for me the local representative found another truck that was about 30 minutes away. FRAUDULENT! Worst place to rent a uhaul from. Charged me an extra $20 for a late service fee when the uhaul was returned on time. Do not do business with them. They will do everything to RIP you off at every chance. The weak body I talked to hung up on me because I disputed their extra charge. My credit card company is involved for their fraudulent charges.
There is very little signage so finding this place was difficult. The man managing the office just fills out the form and hands you the keys. He does not take any responsibility for the condition of the truck or supplies. He really does not seem to care, either. Our truck had a padlock on the back door that wasn't suppose to be there. Thank goodness I saw it before driving to our move because I would not been able to get the back door open to load anything. In addition, the air conditioning in the truck didn't work.
