A very disappointing place to do an agency shift. Majority of staff on phones more than interacting with patients. If your face doesn’t fit the staff will lie about you to the manager and report you to the agency you work in. I’ve worked in healthcare for 15 years. Not once have I had my work ethics come in to dispute. The staff are extremely dangerous with the lies they make. Make you feel extremely uncomfortable when picked up a shift to help out. My mother, who suffers from dementia is a resident at Ty Mair and has been for the last three years. The care she receives is next to none. The visiting times are extremely good, and you are welcomed by a member of staff to the home as you enter. There is also a lift that you can use if you can't manage the stairs. There is parking accommodation too as there are new parking facilities at the back of Ty Mair which have just been finished, although there is an office still being built. Great care staff and hard working. Mum has Vascular Dementia and suffered 4 strokes. She's been there 5 years now and is quite happy.
