The care is substandard. My mother was there for short term rehab. Medical issues arose and kept being pushed off by the doctors. When she was too weak to participate in rehab they would not address the issue, they would just put her back in bed until the following day. This became pattern for 3 weeks. Communication was nonexistent even after several attempts to contact the medical staff. My husband Barry and I have been in Holland Village rehab for the last three weeks. We’ve been very satisfied with the service here. The nurses are great and the food is excellent and I would highly recommend sending a loved one here.

The difference between this so-called nursing facility is is different from this nursing rehab. It’s in a hospital like setting and it’s not your own private apartment. I’m just talking about feeling under arrest all the time you can’t do anything you’re not allowed out they want to blame that on the VA I think a lot of this is not the VA but their own lockdown as soon as I walked in the place when I realized it was a lockdown facility and I’m not in need of one. My physical therapy here with Shannon and Janice was excellent! I couldn't have asked for better therapists. They helped make my leg and arm stronger, and most importantly they gave me hope! The aides and nurses were very kind and polite throughout my stay. The facility is nice and clean, and overall my experience was very positive! It was a happy and pleasant stay. I would recommend it to anyone looking for rehabilitation care!
