Nothing says “professional trucking company” like being tailgated so close you can count the bugs on their grill, nearly getting rear-ended, and then watching them blast past doing 65 in a clearly posted 45 mph zone. If this is their hiring standard, I’m guessing the interview process is just a burnout in the parking lot followed by “Don’t get caught.” Their drivers treat the road like it’s their personal racetrack the rest of us are just obstacles.

POW! Like a rifle shot! An approaching gravel truck had launched a stone at our car as it approached and passed us. You catch your breath and look for damage. Shucks! Dead center on the lower part of the windshield was the new hole. We got the name of the familiar truck on that stretch of US 45 south of Eden, WI. A quick call got us through at once to Brian, the owner of Twin Lakes Transit, LTD. What a great experience that turned out to be!
