My freshly minted husband and I visited Turning Waters over Wabasha, MN's annual Grumpy Old Men festival weekend in late February, 2018. We booked it as a Minimoon weekend get-away, and with it being our first ever visit to a B&B, we were cautiously excited. What we were met with once we arrived completely blew us away. Brenda and Ford provided us with such a welcoming experience that we both agree it may never be surpassed! Brenda's easy-going nature made us feel immediately welcome, and Ford's quirky charm had us laughing straight away. We were given a tour of the house, during which were allowed to peek into the rooms that were waiting for their guests to arrive. Every room has its own ch...  more>>

Just home after a fun two night stay at Turning Waters. Brenda and Ford are great hosts and made us feel so at home. Loved our big, comfortable bed and beautiful adjoining bathroom. The breakfasts were delicious and creative. And the most fun of all was the back yard brew pub. We enjoyed playing cribbage, hanging out with other guests and feeling like family. We never even left to go out to dinner. We highly recommend spending a few nights as this great place. Thanks again for a great time.
Business Response:

Thank you for choosing our home. It was fun having you and David. Watching movies, playing cribbage and enjoying beer floats and pizza is my kind of night

After spending a day driving to and visiting friends in Wabasha, we spent the night at the Turning Waters B&B ... just a beautiful place ... with a king-size 4-poster bed that was so high that even I had to have a step-up stool to get on it! Definitely a Dickensian experience. Breakfast the next morning was just wonderful, fruit/granola parfait, baked raspberry and cream-cheese waffle, lemon rosemary scones, a bacon flight and, of course, coffee ... Oh, and Brenda, one of the owners, provided small samples of the beer from the brewery on the property that they will be opening soon: an orange pale ale, a breakfast milk stout, a lemon pepper saison... all pleasant to sip over a very leisurely ...  more>>
