I am writing this review while my mother has been a resident at Tullamore for the past year. I didn’t want to wait until it was too late to express my gratitude for the amazing care she’s received. Initially, my mother was placed at Tullamore temporarily as we had selected another home for her, but it didn’t take long for us to realize that this was the right place for her. I just want to take the time to say that my experience so far with the staff at this facility is amazing. Shean is an awesome, caring, understanding and amazing coordinator, she help me feel very comfortable and confident in the process of getting my Dad this community, everything I needed to know she explained and help me with the process. Perhaps the hardest decision in my life was to place my dad in Long Term Care. With his dementia, we had no other choice. The first few months were hard as he would call crying that he didn't know where he was. It's been 11 months and he has adapted so well. He still misses home, understandably, but the care he receives is top notch. The staff is wonderful with him and treat him so well. My aunt was wonderfully cared for the past 2 years. Staff was always helpful, kind and caring as her abilities diminished and her voice was lost. They did things the way she preferred with patience and a smile. The building is old and tired but the people working here are great. I actually removed my aunt from a wait list for a nicer building closer to me because she was getting wonderful care where she was. I highly recommend Tullamore Community Care.
