The best decision I ever made for my daughter
My grandchildren go to TUVA and I'm super grateful that this school exists. With everything going on in this world I can feel at ease that my grandchildren are safe at home learning by amazing teachers. We've attended multiple events with our grandchildren and I love how everyone is so helpful and friendly. Especially the staff and teachers these students really enjoy meeting up in person with everyone. Thank you TUVA for making a safe, welcoming and friendly school for our scholars.
Where do I begin?! TUVA is just the school name. But it’s the administration and staff that make TUVA a great school! My 11th grader has been attending since the beginning of COVID! Stephanie Tavares and , Michelle Sigafus have really done wonders for my kiddo and any needs/ accommodations are always met. Sydney is amazing at trying to keep kids safe with technology and any laptop repairs we need. The only thing I wish TUVA has were sports. As a parent with a background in education, I am very happy TUVA is here for my children to attend. TUVA is part of the TUSD and is a public school any child in Tucson can attend. The school provides the laptops, workbooks, and supplies needed for their virtual classrooms. There are monthly social events (Peter Piper, Reid Park, Ice Cream Socials, etc) and a Minecraft Club. The school is new and a bit small at the moment, but new students are enrolling frequently.
My son, now a senior at this school, has been attending since the 8th grade. He has received unprecedented support in anything he needed from the staff. If your child isn't thriving in the brick and mortar environment, try out TUVA! He has no homework, and does his schoolwork on his own schedule as part of the self-paced program. If your child needs a schedule, the guided program is available, with daily classes online. Or, your child can actually attend in-person, if that is preferable.
