I haven't bought a bike in about 25 years. I went to Tuckahoe Shop to buy a step thru bike that I could ride on pavement, concrete or dirt paths...nothing insane. Salesman Al really helped me thru this excruciating process. Al let me ride the bikes I was kind of interested in and the gears shifted smoothly on all the bikes. My current bike has something like 21 gears. I never used the majority of them.
