I have been unable to properly use online banking for the last 2 weeks. I called for assistance and spoke with Jessica, a manager in customer service (or at least a manager as reported by her, I cannot verify that). She did make a few checks to attempt to solve the problem, but could not. She said that matter had to be referred out to a third party for resolution, and that that request needed to go through Trustco's operations department. I had an account with Trustco MANY years ago. I remember all the computer screens faced the public! Anyone could see your account! The teller you were using would have to wait until a different teller was done with it. Plus very few branches went beyond the Capital district. And they resisted online banking. I was done with them.
Has become the worst bank to do business with since Sarah has become branch manager. Previous managers were very customer oriented she is not. Her assuming branch manager of this bank resulted in every one of the tellers, some who were long term leaving due to her management style and customer care actions in charging NSF fees on pending charges on your account even though deposits by law are required to be credited before purchases posted on same day transactions. #TrustCoBank was fined by the federal comptroller of currency in 2015 for "unsafe" banking practices and consumer law violations. #badservice #dishonestpeople
Worst workers and the manager Lisa is nasty, rude and completely belligerent. There is a reason the bank is always empty. Terrible service. Chase right next door practically is great, nuce people working there also,
Worst customer service ever. Trustco banks in general are not known for customer service (Try getting a human on the phone at the 800 #) But the manager Lisa and the one lone male teller who is always there are obnoxious, rude, unprofessional and perhaps trying to make Trustco look bad. I'm not sure but i used them for 3 years for convience but have moved down the road to another bank with actual service and more than 1 teller and a better reputation.
This bank needs to get into the 21st century. Use the ATM on the premises after 10 a.m. and your deposit sits in there until the next morning. The deposit deadline is 3:00 p.m. if you go in the bank. Three times my deposits weren't showing up because they were having trouble posting. Don't even think about banking there.
stay away. Bernice the manager is unprofessional Bernice white-gaynor tricked us in to opening accounts there. She promised us home equity loan but after 6 months money wasn't there. Bank did the appraisal.She got us a commitment letter and said it was guaranteed. Loan denied because of her not sending all the docs to the underwriter-I was told by the underwriter he had almost nothing. Horrible experience. Bank bounced a check stating that someone was trying to fraudulently withdraw $857, so there wasn't enough in our account to pay the check. It was a DEPOSIT of $857. They told us to write another check in lieu of first check they erroneously bounced. We did as instructed. Then they paid BOTH checks and charged us overdraft fee on that. Taking us over a month so far to get the second overdraft fee back. There are other problems, too, with the timing that our online banking bills are paid.
