Th Saluda Turist branch has had a death cert of my aunt and all the necessasry info to close her checking account and distribute the funds to the heirs for over 1 month and they have never contacted me about the progress. This is a small amount and simple instructions. I repeatedly call and never get a call back. I have had to show up just to get an acknowledgement that they've dropped the ball and then..same behavior. I have never in my life received such poor customer service form a bank in my life.
UPDATE: I wrote my original review when this branch was a BB&T. After the switch, truist lost my dad’s estate account and all the money in it. When we tried to get the money recovered, no one would respond, the bank manager, avoided my calls. To date, there has been no resolution. I do not recommend this branch or Truist. Bank some place else I've been in this branch several times. The staff has been friendly and professional.
Used this bank on a limited basis for the last 9 years, and am soon closing my accounts, due to poor customer service. Started with them as BB&T, primarily as an ATM user. Went to get in my safety deposit box last week to retrieve, and submit some mature bonds to the Treasury. Enter the disappointing service---- 1st trip--They could not get my box open.
