My Father switched a rather large account to Pay On Death in order to avoid Probate. The Bank Officer filled out the form and he requested a copy. After he died it turns out the Bank Officer did NOT enter that form into the system. No problem we have the form right? Typed up by their Bank officer and signed that clearly states the account should have been changed. Nope they are refusing to honor THEIR OWN FORM. So we are spending THOUSANDS to open Probate for this account. Do not trust this Bank.
