RUN , very very far away from this guy Jose, the dude is a nut job. I was in the process of placing a $15,000 order with him for a flybridge & aft cockpit cover among a couple of other boat related upholstery products. I’m new to boating and as such was asking a lot of questions to make sure the materials that would be used on my brand new boat would be the best in class . Disregard the weird, negative reviews. Joe absolutely rules. Tropical is fast, affordable, and extremely knowledgeable. The shop gals do high-quality work with legit, marine-grade materials. Best canvas outfit in LA / LB by a mile.
This shop was convenient bc it was on my way to our boat. Boy did I make a mistake bringing my cavas here. I needed to get it restitched and a piece changed out. Well they put the seam on the outside eye sorer and put the holes where it attaches in wrong places so it’s useless to me now. The woman there argued about hole placement and laughed at me. I told her I didn’t think anything was funny. I’ve already paid 425.00 and am worse off than before Bc of this shop!! DON’T GO HERE!! Not a happy camper🤬🤬
I don't know what all the complaints are for...I was treated very kindly and they do amazing work for a fair price. Nothing else I can ask for. Highly recommend doing custom cushions here, I had new v berth cushions within a week and they are GORGEOUS
Went to meet the owner and was greeted by very short and uninterested response. Complete lack of enthusiasm or care and a very blunt “ what do you need, get out of my shop” attitude
