We have been with this institution for over 36 years and I’m very happy with all the services they offer and the customer service support and staff
First let's start with my card being used in another state. Fraud text sent at midnight with no follow up call in the morning on Sunday. I find out my car is locked with no way if accessing my account because while the fraud department works 24/7 and will lock the card, no one is available to get access to the account. Next, I have to call to receive a new card in 7 to 10 days or pay $35 to expedite a card. Or be told I can walk into the nearestt branch and get a card. Great. Tropical FCU charges excessive fees on dormant / in-active accounts. Attracted by a slightly higher CD rate, I entrusted $75,000 to Tropical FCU. I was also required to open another small balance account with them. I did not frequently monitor or use this account. Essentially depositor's account balances are reduced by a Tropical FCU fee, if there is no activity in an account.
