I ordered a cut off box of cocobolo recently and I was very disappointed. I understand that cutoffs are not perfect and if you want perfect wood you should just buy a full board but this wood is completely unsuitable for anything. A few of the pieces were shaped like door stops so pretty much anything you could make with it would have to show only end grain. Great price on some beautiful canary wood spindle turning blanks. Super fast shipping (and very reasonable shipping cost) and overall very pleasant to deal with. A really good experience and plan on ordering more wood from these guys.
Known Mitch for 40 years. His boys know my kid. I've been in this shop a few times over the years. And in their previous location as well. They always seem to have stuff that no one else has.
