Tri Star Skate Shop has been keeping Cleveland rolling since 2004. We've got a gigantic selection of pro quality skateboards, longboards, skateboard wheels, trucks, bearings, skate clothing, skate shoes, helmets and other safety gear. Sad to hear they are closing.
I like small businesses because they're often more knowledgeable and friendly than large franchises, but I encountered staff that was uninterested in a new customer in an otherwise empty store. Never asked what brought me in. Never checked to see if I needed help while looking around. Curt, unhelpful answers when I asked about items I had been thinking of purchasing. Very different atmosphere to the other shops I visited afterward.
I moved to Ohio ten years ago from south Jersey and was blown away by this shop. It was my go-to place for decks and clothing. I recently moved back to south Jersey about a year ago but still ordered merchandise online. Everyone was so knowledgeable and the kindest people. I'm soooo sad to hear about this shop coming to an end. I'm glad i got to spend as much time as I could while living in NE Ohio.
