Today at 12 PM, I visited the Trek Bike Shop in Closter, New Jersey to get the rear derailleur cable on my 2016 Specialized S-Works SL6 replaced. It had suddenly stopped working. Since this shop is right in the neighborhood, it’s a place I usually enter with a smile, feeling welcomed—especially because of one staff member I really liked for their friendly attitude. Great staff. Just bought my kids bikes from Trek Closter and loved the selection and experience.
Stopped by Trek Closter to see if they could do a full service on my Bulls hybrid Ebike within less then a week returned to find my Bike looking great. Took it to the road flat and gravel gears are smooth brakes are on point. I am happy with the work done everything was honestly explained and itemized and my bike was ready when promised, I had bought my bike elsewhere but in the future I'll buy my next bike here and continue getting this one serviced there as well.
Based on a phone call, I will not be returning. I asked if there was availability to break down a bike on a specific day. Instead of saying there’s no availability, the associate went on and on about how that’s a super unrealistic ask on such short notice. How you talk to people matters. A simple no would have sufficed.
