super friendly quick service every one was mannerable
I wanted to take a couple of minutes to write this review. Transit has the BEST selection of kiln dried hardwood lumber in RVA. I am only a small consumer that usually buys one or two boards at a time for small furniture projects, but they always have what I am looking for, and the team of men in the yard go above and beyond to assist me in getting the exact item I am looking for. Everyone is very friendly, and prompt. They have a customer for life.
We just moved to the Williamsburg area which seems to be in a hardwood desert. I was having issues finding a dealer to replace the one we used to use in Zion crossroads. I didn't really have high hopes for this dealer pulling in as it seemed very old with many warehouses. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised with the service. I had inquired about six quarter rough sawn poplar and they had said that they carried it. Always a pleasure dealing with Tim and Mitch
They have some hard to find lumber. Searched for dry Maple everywhere and found it here. Will warn you though, not cheap! $12 board/ft.
