Awful customer service, wouldn't recommend using transfercar if you may need to amend or cancel a booking. They charge a cancellation fee and confirm cancellation but still require you to cancel the booking yourself with the rental company
Loved being able to take a car from Christchurch to Picton for only $41 as part of our adventurous Christmas holiday to Wellington. We paid a little extra for insurance excess reduction and window replacement and with a free tank of petrol, getting there was so affordable. Terrible, if you have to cancel a booking they will screw you, but if any of their associates within 3 hours of booking nothing happens. There’s no respect for the customer!
"No booking fees" is a complete lie. I was required to front up $500.00 as an 'insurance deposit' so here's a bad review for lying in their marketing material.
Cancelled my booking the day before, when I had a flight to catch. Their confirmation emails mean nothing. Totally unreliable, useless company. Do not use
