While riding on the Withlacoochee State Trail, I stopped in their store to ask a favor. My bike tires were low and I didn’t have a pump with me. Gary was gracious enough to stop what he was doing and cheerfully pump up my tires. He is skilled and has a great sense of humor. Gary also refused to accept any money for his time and help. While I’m not (yet) a trike rider, this is definitely the store I’ll go to when the time comes.
Staff is very knowledgeable about the bikes, parts and accessories. He was not only able to answer questions, but also offer money saving advice. It's a bike shops, lol. Though I liked the cute skeleton on a bike he rigged to move when the door opened. I appreciated his honesty when telling people when he could get to their bike and when someone came in to pick their bike up, but had concerns, he said if it broke down on the ride, he would go get them. Great place. Gary is amazing trike mechanic and all around good guy. I have an Azub trike and drive 2.5 hours each way to have it repaired and/or upgraded. They are right off the Withlacoochee State Trail. They rent trikes. So if you are an experienced trike owner looking for parts or repairs or someone interested in learning about recumbent trikes or rentals or test drives. Trailside Trikes is the place to be.
Very friendly and kind people I met today! I am brand new to the area and recently retired. They treated me as though I had been here all my life and took care of what turned out to be something minor in short order. Best of all they didn't charge me a dime for the look-see and service. I am IMPRESSED. So many others I have met in this area have tried to rip me off. These guys were completely honest. Thank you so much Gary!!!
The perfect place to find the perfect Trike. No pressure sales and you can try many different trikes to find the right one. Highly recommend!!
