Happy family Just a few weeks ago I went into toms pet outlet to look at and consider purchasing a puppy for my family, the people there spoke to me about the different dogs and what types would be best. Then they walked me though the particular items necessary for raising a puppy. I never felt pushed or obligated to purchase. Go to shelters for animals instead. I went to apply at Tom's today and I was discusted by what I saw. Right from the minute I pulled in I noticed horrible things. There was a VERY sick puppy laying outside. The poor animal didn't even look up when I whistled to it. Once I got inside the place smelled and it was filthy. The staff seemed offended that I even wanted to apply. DON'T EVER BOTHER SHOPPING HERE. Go across the street to Pet Valu for your supplies and go to shelters to get your animals.

I dont buy pet products from stores that sell puppies this pet store is not only filthy but also supports the ongoing puppymill problem in Pennsylvania. May dogs are subjected to horrible conditions and used as breeding stock. Pet stores that SELL puppies are only supporting these farmers to continue this disgusting business. Tom's is no different. They have puppies living is filth on display for sale.
I WORKED AT TOMS PET OUTLET DO NOT. i repeat DO NOT buy your dogs cats etc here, the dogs are straight from puppy mills and they do not take care of them. Ive seen Tom the owner actually kick and choke a few of the puppies. PLEASE if you love animals as much as i do, you will not buy your pets here.as soon as i found out what they were doing and where the dogs came from i quit and called the Better business bureau
Check out Tom's...Don't be fooled by the bad reviews We purchased a Boston Terrier from Tom's almost two years ago and has been the best pet I have ever had. Even though she might be a "puppy mill" dog, she has been free of any serious or debilitating health issues since we got her. She is highly intelligent, compassionate, and fun to be around. Our puppy ended up with a minor viral infection within the week that we took him home. The vet gave him antibiotics that Tom's reimbursed us for. The puppy is healthy and he was up to date with his shots and dewormers when we purchased him. Being a new pet owner, we did our research on the type of dog that we want. Tom's Pet Outlet is fantastic. Tom's Pet Outlet has the best way of keeping their pets of any pet store in this area. How the below poster can say otherwise amazes me. They are well socialized, played with by the staff, and customers can pet them. Most pet stores lock each puppy up on a wire cage all by themselves. They have a good variety of small animals and reptiles and are very knowledgeable about each. I love their shop and will continue to make them my only pet store!
