they sent me a letter saying that i need to pay like 1200 for my taxes. i sent the payment in then they claim that my bank rejected my payment for insufficient funds. Not possible for my bank to reject it for insufficient funds since the payment was supposed to come from my savings account. Tries to scam you anyway they can. I sent my taxes in on April 1st, on April 24th I received a letter, dated for April 25th, that I did not pay my taxes. When I reached out to say that I did they said they never got it. So I wrote a new check, obviously canceling the original. It took them over 2 weeks to cash the other check, after they received it. At first I would never have given this high of a rating. But coming from tax free New Hampshire, I was in a pickle for not paying city income tax for 3 years due to my ignorance that their was actually a city tax! Toledo worked with me to minimize the penalties and have been very helpful since then. Like telling me I don't owe taxes on 401K withdrawels. That gave me a $750 credit for this year. So yes, Toledo works with you but you have to work with them.
The most Incompetent people I have ever dealt with in my life. This is one of the reasons why people make fun of Ohio more than they do Missouri lmao .
These people are by far the biggest morons in the City of Toledo!! I paid a tax bill in June based on a compromise agreement. I made copies good thing, as now the frickin morons working with the City of Toledo sent another flippin' tax bill stating it is owed. I have a copy of everything and no one returns phone calls. Go figure, typical government. I am calling an attorney now, as they aren't calling back. My next email is to the mayor if he can put down his golf club down long enough to figure out how to open a email. Funn... read more
