At first I would never have given this high of a rating. But coming from tax free New Hampshire, I was in a pickle for not paying city income tax for 3 years due to my ignorance that their was actually a city tax! Toledo worked with me to minimize the penalties and have been very helpful since then. Like telling me I don't owe taxes on 401K withdrawels. That gave me a $750 credit for this year. So yes, Toledo works with you but you have to work with them.
The most Incompetent people I have ever dealt with in my life. This is one of the reasons why people make fun of Ohio more than they do Missouri lmao .
These people are by far the biggest morons in the City of Toledo!! I paid a tax bill in June based on a compromise agreement. I made copies good thing, as now the frickin morons working with the City of Toledo sent another flippin' tax bill stating it is owed. I have a copy of everything and no one returns phone calls. Go figure, typical government. I am calling an attorney now, as they aren't calling back. Every year it seems there is an issue with my tax returns regardless of what professional prepares my taxes. This department is no help at all. I have sent multiple emails, faxes, and placed calls without a response. I received a letter in the mail stating information was missing and I was not credited with taxes paid to other cities. Already paid my taxes they keep sending me bills they keep charging me penalties. I already paid everything and went to Toledo municipal court to change address and pay everything I have the receipts to prove and they won't let me schedule an appointment to show them without providing a social security number at this point I believe its a scam lol...
