My 93 year-old mom moved from BC to Ottawa to be closer to family and to access better assisted living and health care services and options. Timberwalk Retirement Community Kanata: accommodation/facility/garden are excellent. Entertainment is very good. Staff are friendly and good to the residents. Food is deplorable. It is so bad that I would say it’s on par or worse than a Soup Kitchen. Half the time the meals are so horrible that my Mom goes back to her room and microwaves a frozen dinner or orders a BLT.
